- Announce traffic stops via radio with plate and location
- Approach vehicle only after dispatcher acknowledges
- Require backup for all stops involving weapons charges
📞 Dispatch Protocol
- All calls must be dispatched before response
- Priority 1: Life safety — respond immediately
- Priority 2: In-progress crimes — respond within 2 minutes
- Priority 3: Reports — respond when available
🤝 Community Policing
- Engage civilians respectfully at all times
- Explain the reason for all stops clearly
- De-escalate whenever possible before using force
